Although it typically lasts between two weeks and three months, some organizations may require that you will work with them longer. When you decide to have an internship, and after you choose your placement, we will assign you internship coordinator, who together with you will create a specific program of your internship.

GLOBAL NETWORK FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (GNSD)
The mission of GNSD is to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by educating young future community leaders about the principles of environmental and economic sustainability, and by involving them in active achieving of these goals. GNSD intends to implement this mission by creating worldwide Sustainability and Peace Clubs. These clubs will involve their members in community projects addressing sustainable development, and non-violent conflict resolution practices. GNSD also started the Sister Schools Project that is promoting partnerships between schools from developing and developed countries.

GNSD SISTER SCHOOLS PROJECT
Through the Sister Schools Project, GNSD intends to facilitate partnerships between schools in economically developed countries with poor schools from developing countries. GNSD has already a network of collaborators in China, India, Nepal, Poland, USA, and some countries of Africa. By working with schools in these countries, GNSD may provide them with the opportunity to collaborate and engage in local community projects. GNSD Nepal through its partner organizations and experts in sustainable development, can create educational content on the principle “learning by doing”. It will contribute to the realization of sustainable development goals by engaging the youth in the process of their implementation.
Please see the introduction to the project presented by Bipin Panday, project coordinator:

PLAYING FOR CHANGE FOUNDATION
Changing the world through music requires localized knowledge, outreach, and vision. Foundation’s programs are organized to combat systematic social and economic disparity, as well as disparity intensified by crisis. Across many PFCF communities, their programming serves as the only access point to cultural and creative educational activities. These activities drive youth, community, and gender development, cultural preservation, social cohesion, and the promotion of social identities regardless of ethnicity, caste, class, and economic statuses.
Music can be a source of hope, joy, and opportunity. Despite lock-downs and quarantines, the music has continued to flow however it can, either online, across outdoor spaces, and where it is safe in-person classes.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The Red Cross, born of a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavors—in its international and national capacity—to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples. The Red Cross is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
The projects taken by World Hope are community led and sustainable. They believe that individuals and communities are transformed into ones with dignity and wholeness through a spiritual, social, economic, and physical change. Transformation is never a single-issue project; it’s as multi-dimensional as people are themselves, and it can begin with a single person, expand to their community, and go on to change a whole world. Get involved!
The United Nations Volunteer program was created in 1970 to serve as an operational partner in international development. Administered by UNDP, UNV is the focal point for volunteerism in the UN system. It pursues distinctive contributions to effective development by advocating the role and benefits of volunteerism, integrating civic engagement into development programms and helping to mobilize volunteers worldwide.
UNV volunteers support sustainable human development globally in key areas such as poverty reduction, democratic governance, energy, the environment, crisis prevention and recovery and health. UNV helps develop national volunteer schemes, initiate creative and pioneering volunteer activities and develop research capacity on volunteerism in developing countries.
