Coaching is significantly different from counseling or psychotherapy. It doesn't focus on psychological problems and their roots, but is oriented towards the future. It offers assistance in realization of life projects and dreams; it helps to find integrity and emotional well-being.
According to the International Coaching Federation, professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. They help people improving their performance and enhance quality of life.
Coaches are trained to listen, observe and customize their approach to individual client’s needs. They may help their client set more adequate and more rewarding personal and professional goals. Inspiring to elicit solutions and strategies from the client himself/herself, they trust his/her natural creativity and resourcefulness. The coach's job is to provide assistance in enhancing skills, resources and creativity that the you already possess.
