“As Chair I regularly monitored the student evaluations that faculty received, and in Dr. Marek’s case it was very interesting to note the striking changes in the student evaluations over the years that indicated a marked improvement to the point where his evaluations are typically indistinguishable from, or better, than those of our best line faculty. Some of this is due to improvement of the English language, but much is due to his conscientious efforts to increase the interest level and pedagogical quality of his classes”
