"When I was a sophomore at the University of Warsaw, I liked a lot one of my classmates named Marek. He was bright and open-minded, friendly and respectful, and very, very energetic. It was he who organized student ski-trips, evenings of poetry, or balls at which he danced with an ultimate passion. And when during the class a piece of the equipment failed – it was Marek who knew how to fix it. Forty years later, in the fourth decade of our marriage, all these qualities stay intact in him. Luckily enough I was also blessed with some inner energies, so that I could accompany him in his life-gliding. It was and continues to be a dance of connection. Well, we stepped once in a while on each-other’s toe. But the secret of our life was that we knew how to care for this hurt toe of another and continue to tango."
